Koenraad van Hasselt studied linguistics in addition to public relations and mass
communications at the University of Utrecht and brand management at the European
Institute for Brand Management (EURIB) in Rotterdam.
 
Apart from various internal management courses he took part in the IMD Senior
Executive Program in Lausanne and the Cap Gemini Leadership Program. 
Following his studies he worked at the Ministry of Defence as a public information
 officer and after four years in London, working in PR, he took on communication
management roles for large international companies, including Akzo Nobel
(in the Netherlands and Germany), Canon Europa, Philips and KPN. At Philips
Consumer Electronics he was Vice-President and responsible for the worldwide
Corporate Communications and at KPN Royal Dutch Telecom he was Director of
Corporate Communications.
Koenraad van Hasselt is vice chairman of Logeion, the Dutch Association for
Communication Professionals. He is also the National Chair of the International
PR Association and Regional Coordinator of the European Association of
Communication Directors. He is also chairman of the Advisory Board International
Programs of the Faculty for Communications and Journalism at the  University of
Applied Sciences Utrecht. Van Hasselt is speaker at national and international conferences
on corporate branding and reputation management.
